Tammy Marlar
My aim is to capture moments that are more than just a snippet of life, but which freeze time in the most beautiful of ways, giving you a set of pictures you’ll treasure forever.
After a 20-year career running conservation charities, I took up photography in 2015, and I knew then that I had found a new purpose, a “second curve”.

It’s a privilege to be able to document intimate family moments as well as providing great visuals for both businesses and events.

My former professional career gave me an unrivalled insight into how to make people feel comfortable and convert one-time strangers into personal connections. I value my family and business clients, bringing my professionalism, reliability and strong work ethic into my photographic work. I understand the importance of clear communication, meeting deadlines, and working as part of a wider communications effort. Shining a light on the unique attributes of a corporate campaign or an event is a speciality of mine.
As a photographer, I am largely self-taught and am proud to have had work published in multiple issues of Outdoor Photography Magazine, YOU Magazine and the Evening Standard as well as numerous online publications.

Increasingly, I write features about and give lectures on photography, as well as hands-on teaching for beginners and advanced photographers alike.

Every session is not only productive, but fun - we begin as strangers and leave as friends. It’s great to be welcomed back by clients time and again to share and document their special occasions and milestones. A huge privilege indeed.
I look forward to working with you.
