Festivals and Shows
These are my favourite briefs. I love shooting both boutique shows and events on a grand scale, and I bring bags of initiative, energy, creativity and artistic flair to the task.
There are many elements to large-scale events, including documentary-style portraits of the crowd, performing artists, structures, side-shows, sponsors’ branding, promotional partners and stall-holders. You need an accomplished and well-organised photographer, comfortable across these varied photographic genres.

I would advise contacting me 6 months in advance if at all possible, especially if your event is in the Summer.
I have a passion for nature, and one of my favourite events in my annual calendar is The Chelsea Flower Show in London. Run expertly by the Royal Horticultural Society, it was established in 1913, and has become a horticultural delight, attracting more than 500 exhibitors and 168,000 visitors from across the world.
I'm commissioned by private clients and magazines to photograph The Chelsea Flower Show, and other special events and shows.

I’m proud to have been retained by large-scale event organisers JSL Productions for the last four years, to cover their sell-out Battle Proms concerts and leading summer folk festival “Folk by the Oak”.
The trick to event photography is about being in the right place at the right time and then waiting patiently to capture the subtlety of human interactions. Simultaneously invisible but at the heart of the action.
